Turn your XC dreams into reality! Specialized's S-Works Epic Carbon 29 XTR is the ultra-light rocket you've been dreaming about. It features 100mm of Specialized's Brain-controlled FSR rear suspension and a 100mm RockShox SID for unheard-of climbing speed and confident descending. Its state-of-the-art FACT 11M-carbon frame is not only light, it's super stiff for lightning-fast accelerations and pinpoint handling. Plus, this sweet ride is equipped with the best of the best: a full Shimano XTR 20-speed drivetrain for flawless, reliable shifting, featherweight Roval Control SL carbon wheels and a set of wonderfully light and powerful XTR disc brakes. And, don't forget about Specialized's world-class S-Works carbon components and tires.

Features and Information

  • This frame utilizes Specialized’s advanced FACT IS (Integrated Structure) construction method. By separating the frame into four main parts — the front triangle, seat tube/bottom bracket, chainstays and seatstays — Specialized is able to optimize each carbon piece for its specific purpose and create a structure that’s incredibly light, impeccably stiff and impressively strong.
  • This frame’s head tube is 1 1/2 inches in diameter at the bottom and 1 1/8 inches at the top. This maximizes front-end stiffness for awesome steering precision and control, while allowing the use of standard 1 1/8-inch stems and not adding much weight.

    Comments:

I ride this bike 5 to 6 time a week. There has never been an issue with it. I just can't tell you what a bike this is untill you ride one. I know they don't demo these kind of bike but if you pull the trigger and buy one you won't be sorry. Also I ride with a group of friends that all have 26". Now that I'm the only 29" (atleast for now) they have a hard time trying to keep up. The bike really made a big difference on my speed.

    Fastest Bike EVER!

      Comments:

This bike is the fastest cross country bike i've ever ridden. I was skeptical at first about the 29 inch wheels, coming from 26 inch, but Specialized have done an amazing job. The angles of the bike are great and it's so responsive. On tight, steep single track the bike handled better than my hardtail 26er. The XTR shifts like a dream and I love it. I ride with the brain full on so I can ride fast and when I get into the rough stuff, I forget I have a brain. This bike is a winner and will have you on the podium!
